Maison A is an interior architecture and design studio dedicated to creating highly personal environments shaped by the lifestyles and sensibilities of its clients. From spatial planning and material selection to custom furniture and detailing, the studio offers a comprehensive and considered approach to interiors.
The practice is led by Alice Crumeyrolle, Creative Director and founder. Born and raised in France, Alice trained in architecture at Paris’s École des Beaux-Arts before building an international career across Paris and San Francisco. Her work spans high-profile architecture and interior design firms, with a portfolio that includes numerous award-winning projects.
During her tenure at Handel Architects in San Francisco, Alice contributed to landmark residential developments including The Pacific and 288 Pacific, and served as Director of Interiors for the New Four Seasons Residences Tower. Alongside large-scale projects, she led the design of multiple private residences in Presidio Heights and Pacific Heights, two of which were published in Luxe Magazine and recognized with Interior Design magazine’s Best of Year awards.
More recently, Alice collaborated with AD100 designer Ken Fulk on the renovation of expansive private residences across Woodside, Montana, and Wyoming, as well as the restoration of the historic restaurant Boulevard in San Francisco. The project was widely acclaimed and named the most stylish restaurant in San Francisco by Architectural Digest.
Maison A most recently completed the renovation of Starlite, the iconic cocktail lounge atop the Beacon Grand Hotel in San Francisco. Reimagined as a contemporary destination, Starlite was named Best Bar in America.
Current projects include a Hotel renovation and penthouse renovation in San Francisco, restaurant commissions in New York, several large-scale residential projects throughout the Bay Area, and private residences in Montecito.
